Skellig Manufacturing is building the backbone of the Internet of Medicine, a digital grid that enables trusted facilities to safely manufacture the medicines that people need, when and where they need them.
Our name and story
Off the west coast of Ireland, the Skellig Islands were once home to a small community living at the edge of the known world. They built by hand, endured harsh seas and storms, and became quiet guardians of knowledge and practice when the wider world was anything but stable.
We chose the name Skellig because it captures what this moment in medicine demands:

Stand up one qualified site, run real batches, and validate quality, security, and repeatability end-to-end.
Prove transfer across nodes
Demonstrate that a standardized manufacturing process can be transferred to a second qualified
site and run within tight performance bounds,
using existing equipment and controls.
Form the first connected cluster
Expand to a small network of sites that can share capacity, test priority use cases (shortage-prone essential medicines, pediatric dosing, critical care), and begin responding to public-health demand signals.
