I’ve spent nearly two decades inside GMP facilities, watching good people work inside systems that are slow to change and expensive to run. The friction isn’t technical; it’s structural. Vendor lock-in, poor data flow, and fragile oversight make it harder to manufacture medicine here, pushing production overseas and patients into shortage risk. IoM is about fixing that foundation. My focus is on building the infrastructure that makes resilient U.S. manufacturing and point-of-care medicine real, so when a treatment exists, access isn’t the bottleneck.

I decided to help create Skellig because I believe the ability to make medicine should be as resilient as the need for it. We’ve built a healthcare system that can diagnose a rare disease in hours and then wait months for the treatment to arrive. That’s not a technology problem – it’s an infrastructure problem, and infrastructure can be rebuilt. I’m here to help design what comes next: manufacturing that responds to patients, not just markets. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever worked on, but I get to work on it with people who feel the same way, and I wouldn’t trade it.
